I’d make them myself, but they’re HAND-made.

Anne Nanovic is the owner of both Baxter (the cat/mascot) and Baxter’s Fine Candies. Anne found her way to candy-making through her love of, well, candy. She first saw traditional drop-rolled candies made while working Berlin, Germany. The idea of reviving traditional hard candy making methods stuck with her as she pursued a career in international trade. When she left work to focus on her family, she began experimenting more seriously and Baxter’s Fine Candies, LLC slowly came to life. Baxter’s makes its home in Portland’s West End, at Baxter’s Essentials. Stop by to sample our our newest flavors and see our collection of drop rollers from the late 1800’s.
Baxter’s Fine Candies aims to produce a refreshing, herbal experience not found in your typical hard candy. Baxter’s Fine Candies are made using drop rollers from the late 1800’s, to produce a gourmet hard candy that is free of corn syrup, colorings and artificial flavors. Herbs, teas, and extracts are used to create unique flavor combinations.
